Department of THP is a member of Indonesian Association of Nutritionists and Food Technologists (Pergizi Pangan) which the East Kalimantan chapter was recently established in October 2015. The current head of Pergizi Pangan East Kalimantan Chapter is Prof. Dr. Bernatal Saragih.

Here are the result of teaching quality/satisfaction survey conducted in 2014 with 100 student samples.
The results are in Bahasa Indonesia but easily translated as: (1) sangat puas: highly satisfied, (2) puas: satisfied; (3) neutral: neutral; (4) tidak puas: not satisfied; (5) sangat tidak puas: highly unsatisfied.

THP in colaboration with National Standardization Agency held a SNI 9001 and GMP Preparation Workshop for UKM in Balikpapan as a part of the partnership between the agency, the provincial government and Mulawarman University. The workshop was attended by owner’s of small medium enterprise (SME) in food and no-food sectors.

The first international conference on Food, Agriculture, and Culinary Tourism (ICFACT) was held in August 2015 and had hosted more than 75 presenters from ASEAN countries. The program was attended by THP students as observants and organizing committee. We hope that the second ICFACT will also host student research competition as a part of the future program.
